Lara J. Deni-Dance Instructor

Want to learn Salsa, Swing, Ballroom (Standard and Smooth Styles), Latin, and Country? Have a special event, wedding, or corporate party to prepare for? Do you need/want a professional dance performance, choreography, dance lesson or a party motivator for your special event/party/wedding? Lara can can handle it all! She currently teaches Salsa, West Coast Swing, Ballroom, Latin, East Coast Swing and Country.Lara began her teaching career by age 15 in Tap, Jazz, Break Dancing and Ballet. A year later she began performing with an adult dance troupe at clubs, parties, and charity events and traveled the US and Canada to judge youth dance competitions. Lara continued on with her dance career and received a BFA in dance at Adelphi University. Lara taught Modern and Ballet at local dance studios in New York and then stumbled upon ballroom dancing. She fell in love with Ballroom and completed extensive studies in both International and American Ballroom and Latin styles. She soon began teaching and competing in Rising Star and Open Professional American and Standard Ballroom, placing top five nationally with her partner. Wanting more out of her dance career, Lara started dancing Lindy Swing and Salsa in 2002. She completed in both styles and placed top three nationally. She then found West Coast Swing and competes and teaches on the National and International West Coast Swing circuit. Lara and her prior partner won numerous National Titles in the Classic Rising Star Division and placed top 15 in the 2008 US Open Swing Championships. Then in 2009 US Open Swing Championships Lara placed 7th in the Jack & Jill division, and she continues to win numerous titles in both the Jack & Jill and Strictly divisions on a national level. She is currently working with a new partner, and they will be competing and teaching Nationally and Internationally.Lara is a sought out instructor because of her diverse background of dance, genuine passion and love of movement and dance. She thrives on being able to pass this feeling and passion on to others. She encourages and helps her students attain their goals in dance, while making the process of growing and learning a fun and rewarding one.

For our Bride and Groom:

We will prepare you for your first dance with a choreographed routine or just some simple steps to make you feel smooth and confident on the dance floor. Need help picking the right song for the feeling that you want to achieve? We can help with you that as well! We also have a list of preferred caterers, florists, hair stylists, Band/DJs and more, who can help you with the rest of your party needs.

FIRST DANCE PRIVATE LESSONS:

• Learn a simple yet elegant entrance to dance floor to start your first dance

• Get assistance with your song selection (whether you've chosen a few songs or none at all)

• Learn numerous dance moves, some styling, form, and musicality

• Learn an impressive finale with an honorable exit off dance floor

• Get consulting for the rest of your wedding planning at no extra cost

Note: We recommend at the least 5-7 dance lessons and attending one lesson per week. We realize many people have tight schedules these days, so if you need to have two sessions at once, we can do that too (will minimize your visits). We will also accommodate last minute requests and can work with you in as little as 3 days before your Wedding.
